Terms & Conditions

Book2Clean (“Book2Clean”, “the platform”, “we”) operates an online marketplace in Ireland that connects clients who need cleaning work with independent cleaners, and cleaners with helpers. These Terms apply to every user of the platform, in every role (Client, Cleaner, Helper).

By creating an account and expressly accepting these Terms and the Privacy Policy through the Book2Clean consent process, you agree to be bound by these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Book2Clean provides the technology that lets users find each other, exchange quotes and arrange bookings. We do not perform cleaning services, we do not supervise or control how a service is carried out, and we are not a party to the service agreement between a Client and a Cleaner (or between a Cleaner and a Helper).

Cleaners and Helpers are independent users and independent service providers. They are not employees, agents, partners or subcontractors of Book2Clean, and nothing on the platform creates an employment relationship with us.

Payment for the cleaning service itself is agreed and made directly between the Client and the Cleaner (and, where relevant, between the Cleaner and the Helper). Book2Clean does not process that payment and does not take a commission from it.

Each provider is responsible for their own tax, VAT and record-keeping obligations in relation to the amounts they charge and receive.

A Client can publish a cleaning request describing the service, location and timing. Eligible Cleaners within their working radius may then respond with a personalised quote. A request can receive up to three (3) Cleaner quotes; once that limit is reached, no further quotes can be submitted for that request.

A quote is an offer from that Cleaner only. Publishing a request does not guarantee that quotes will be received, and responding to a request does not guarantee that a Cleaner will be selected or obtain work.

Helpers may take part through the Helper workflow implemented in the platform, by applying to Helper requests published by Cleaners, subject to the rules shown in the app at the time.

Cleaners and Helpers use Book2Clean Credits to access and respond to opportunities. Credits are platform-use units only; they have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts and can be used only on the platform.

Credit prices, the Credit cost for each action, promotional or bonus Credits, validity/expiry rules and subscription terms are those displayed by Book2Clean at the relevant time and are applied by the platform automatically.

Credit purchases and subscriptions are handled by our payment provider. Refunds, clawbacks and cancellation of subscriptions follow the rules already implemented in the platform and, where applicable, your statutory rights under Irish and EU consumer law. These Terms do not create refund rights beyond those rules.

Account deletion does not automatically create a cash redemption right for unused Credits. Any handling of remaining Credits during account deletion remains subject to applicable law and the platform rules in force at that time.

CleanConnect is the platform's communication channel between users. You must keep communication relating to a request, quote, booking or Helper job inside CleanConnect where the platform requires it.

Where Contact Guard applies, you must not share or request prohibited external contact information (for example phone numbers, email addresses, social handles or messaging usernames), and you must not attempt to obscure such details or split them across messages. Attempting to move a transaction off the platform to circumvent Credits, limits or safeguards is a breach of these Terms.

You must be at least 18 years old, provide accurate account and profile information, keep it up to date, and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account.

Identity verification may be required for Cleaner and Helper roles, and access to certain features may depend on completing it. Book2Clean may also operate regional admission or waiting-list rules that affect when an account can publish requests or respond to opportunities.

You must comply with Irish law and must not:

• misuse the platform, or use it for unlawful, harmful or fraudulent purposes;
• impersonate another person, or create accounts to evade limits or suspensions;
• abuse, harass, threaten or discriminate against other users;
• post false, misleading or manipulated profiles, quotes, reviews or ratings;
• circumvent Credits, quote limits, Contact Guard, matching rules or any other platform safeguard;
• scrape, reverse-engineer or interfere with the platform or its security.

When a Client accepts a quote, a booking is created in the platform. Changing, rescheduling and cancelling requests, bookings and Helper jobs — including any related Credit refunds or cascading effects on Helper requests — follow the platform rules in force at that time, as shown in the app.

Users are expected to communicate cancellations promptly and honestly. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may affect scores, levels or access to the platform.

Reviews, ratings, cleaner levels and scores are generated from platform activity and user feedback. Feedback must be genuine and based on real experience. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or applicable law.

Book2Clean offers AI-assisted drafting for Cleaner bios, personalised quotes and translations. AI output is a drafting aid only. The Cleaner remains responsible for reviewing and editing the text before saving or sending it, and for the accuracy of anything they publish.

AI does not set authoritative pricing. Prices and service commitments are those the Cleaner confirms, and translations are provided for convenience — the original text prevails.

We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to an account where we reasonably believe these Terms or the law have been breached, where there is fraud, safety or security risk, or where required to protect other users or the platform. Where reasonably possible we will tell you the reason and, if appropriate, allow you to resolve it.

You may stop using Book2Clean at any time and may request deletion of your account from your profile.

An account deletion request may be blocked while you still have active commitments, such as open requests, upcoming bookings or an active subscription. Deletion is not necessarily immediate and may involve anonymisation rather than destruction of every record.

We may retain records where necessary for legal, financial, accounting, fraud-prevention, security or dispute-resolution purposes. See the Privacy Policy for details.

We work to keep the platform available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and features may change, be limited or be withdrawn.

To the extent permitted by law, Book2Clean is not liable for the acts, omissions, quality, safety, legality or pricing of services arranged between users, for damage or loss occurring during a cleaning service, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

We may update these Terms. Each version is recorded with a document version identifier. When a materially new version is published you will be asked to accept it once before continuing to use the platform; earlier acceptances are kept unchanged for audit purposes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and the Irish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting mandatory consumer protections.
